We do best what we enjoy the most. One-to-one Career Development Coaching helps you to clarify what you want from your career and to understand how to set about achieving it. It is ideal if you are:

The career coaching process works towards a vision for the future that gives you direction, releasing your enthusiasm and drive. It helps to establish goals and identifies any skills and experience that you may need to develop.
For Organisations
Career consultancy also helps organisations in managing and developing talent for the future while helping individuals to understand how to marry their individual talent and motivation to the needs of the business.
Duration
Career development coaching is a time limited process. There is no long-term commitment - you only pay for what you need.
It will usually involve two sessions of 3 - 4 hours - with an interval for reflection and research in between - plus briefer follow-up sessions if desired.
Objectives
The sessions are totally geared to individual objectives. These can be mapped out in an initial exploratory discussion and may include:
- To develop awareness of the issues which will be key influences on your future
- To explore your personal talent, motivation and values
- To understand how these underpin personal communication and management style
- To identify a personal vision of the future and understand how that aligns with organisational values, vision and strategy
- To explore career development needs that will enable you to meet your goals
Methods
Using facilitative processes such as construct theory and the Hay/McBer Emotional Competency model, the sessions analyse individual experience, career history, talent and motivation to build the self awareness and accurate self assessment that underpin confidence.
This career coaching can be supplemented where appropriate with specific diagnostic instruments such as the Emotional Competence Inventory or the Strength Deployment Inventory.

- Mentoring
Individual ‘contract’ to support career development over a longer period with experienced mentors who have the wisdom and knowledge to address broad personal development issues, including self-awareness, awareness of personal talents and motivation, political awareness and strategic vision. - Specialist Skills Coaching
One-to-one sessions with our trainers - to develop communication skills or to provide support for specific tasks such as public speaking engagements or interviews - one-to-one sessions with experienced advisers, tailored to particular management issues or development needs.
