Jo Ouston & Co is a specialist practice in management development and career planning. Principal Jo Ouston has wide experience in business, industry, consultancy and working with the public sector. As Head of Advisory services at the Institute of Management in the 1980s she identified new needs in the areas of personal and management development to meet the challenges of a changing economic landscape. She founded Jo Ouston & Co in 1990 to meet these needs.
A distinguishing feature of the practice is that members of the team are handpicked for their ability to connect professional experience in a creative environment to the needs of business and organisational life. They are teachers from backgrounds where individual potential and the relationship between group and personal aspirations are well understood – from education and development, the performing and creative arts and the media.
This background - where success is crucially dependent on personal presence, communication, teamwork and leadership – is a key factor in providing our clients with a uniquely effective service. We deliver measurable change and improvement.
The practice is based at our offices in Dolphin Square, London SW1, where we have attractive training and coaching facilities with the capacity to run courses and meetings for up to 20 participants. We also work throughout the United Kingdom, providing our range of services on a local basis as appropriate.
Jo Ouston & Co publishes an occasional newsletter JOurnal that addresses key themes in career and management development.
